Kevin Murray (Former HSE Director of Qatar Foundation and core member of the Karama working committee) launched the Qatar Foundation Migrant Worker Welfare standards at the Doha IOSH Conference in 2012. Kevin then formed Qatar’s first migrant worker welfare team within Qatar Foundation and he has recently been Chairman of the Qatar National Worker Welfare Stakeholders Group.

He has extensive experience working in Qatar with both the Hydrocarbon and construction industries in relation to worker welfare. He has held the post of Lead Governance and Standards with RasGas, working with the Legal team on compliance issues both inside Ras LaFan Industrial City and with sub-contractor worker accommodation around Al Khor. He has undertaken consultancy projects for the Dubai Civil Defence, the Ajman Government and Kuwait Fire Department, forming high-level contacts. He co-developed an Honours Degree Programme for Lancaster University in 2007, specifically for the Abu Dhabi Police Department teaching for several years prior to setting up a permanent base for his company BTC in Qatar.
